SimpliFill Technique Video

Step 1:Place Apical Plug to Working Length
With a paper point or file, coat the apical part of the canal with a generous amount of
SimpliSeal sealer. Select a SimpliFill Plug (typically the same size as the Final Apical
Size) and set its rubber stop to Working Length. Coat the Apical Plug with SimpliSeal
sealer, enter the canal and slowly advance the SimpliFill until the rubber stop is at the
reference point. Placing the Plug to Working Length may require a firm push. If using
Resilon, please refer to the instructions for use for the Resilon Primer / Sealer.

Step 2: Release Apical Plug from Carrier
When the Apical Plug is at Working Length (not before), quickly rotate the handle at
least 4 complete counter-clockwise rotations to release the Apical Plug. Obturation is
now complete if a post will be used. Note: If the Apical Plug does not release from the
carrier, it means your Apical Plug is too small and you need to select a larger size.

Step 3: Fill Remainder of the Canal
Get the HotShot ready for use. See HotShot manual for details.

Place a small amount of sealer in the canal coronal to the SimpliFill Plug with a paper point. Place the tip of the HotShot needle 2mm short of the top of the SimpliFill Apical Plug. Slowly express obturation material – continue expressing while withdrawing the needle from the canal. Use an Endodontic Plugger to compact material. Repeat as needed until canal is filled without voids.
